Description of Work
Come and join our TEAM!!O'Berry Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is looking for four cooks to join our Food Service team. The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for preparing assigned food products to include breakfast items, meat entrees, vegetables, casseroles; different diet consistencies including pureed and ground, thickening liquids and for cleaning and sanitizing the production area and dining area. Items created in this area can significantly affect the nutritional quality and acceptance level of patient diets and cost containment. Position maintains weekly inventory of food and kitchen items.

Salary Grade Range: $31,200 - $48,810 Annually
Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.
Normal Work Hours: 7:00am - 6:00pm (4 days per week at 10 hours per day) [shift premium is for weekends only]
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Knowledge in preparing food items according to menus.
Read and write in English and be able to follow recipes and instructions.

Knowledge of food preparation time, temperature, and methods of preserving.
One year of experience cooking in a commercial and/or institutional setting.
This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.

Veteran's and National Guard Preference
