Role overview
We’re looking for an experienced General Liability Underwriter who is a client-centric professional to join our General Liability team. As a Liability Underwriter, you will be working closely with the Head of Liability to help grow and develop a national portfolio within the mid-market sector.
You’ll be working within an established underwriting business with a growing General Liability presence and have the opportunity for growth and career development.
Role responsibilities
- Development of new business opportunities within the mid-market sector
- Underwrite and manage new business, renewals and endorsements through building meaningful broker relationships.
- Communicate DUAL’s underwriting appetite to broking partners
- Develop and maintain market facing broker relationships and industry networks.
- Negotiating rates/ terms with brokers within underwriting guidelines and business risk appetite.
- Following up offers of quotations/ renewals
About you
You will have a minimum of 4–5 years' experience in a Liability Underwriting role, demonstrating a strong technical knowledge of underwriting liability risks.
You will also demonstrate a track record of new business development and confidence in managing multiple clients across a broad range of risk industries for new business, renewals and endorsements, be comfortable to provide training, guidance and mentorship to fellow staff as well as addressing external clients.
Your people skills and passion for quality service allow you to successfully build a book on new business while maintaining relationships and service standards by timely response to broker requests.
