Hours: Every other Saturday, 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.

  

 

 

 

The Residential Support Overnight employee provides on-site coverage to residents of the Penn Villa or Village of Hope Programs. Performs routine resident-care duties as needed. This is a position in which the employee sleeps unless there is a resident or other matter that requires attention.

The intent of this job description is to provide a summary of the major duties and responsibilities of this position and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the position.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to urgent resident needs and emergencies.

  • Provide crisis intervention when required.

  • Provide a supportive environment for residents.

  • Ensures that any safety concerns are corrected or reported to the Program Manager.

  • Provides documentation of resident activity/progress/staff interventions and communicates concerns and observations to supervisory staff.

  • Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information. 

  • Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements. 

  • Demonstrates/models the Network’s PCRAFT values during interactions with all customers.    

  • Demonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety.

  • Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices.

  • Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code. 

  • Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated.

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED Required

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record in accordance with St. Luke’s policy.
