THE JOB:

Join the excitement at The Cosmopolitan as a Kitchen Shop Facilities Manager, where you’ll lead a team of maintenance technicians dedicated to keeping our restaurant and kitchen equipment operating at peak performance.  In this role, you’ll oversee repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety compliance to ensure seamless operations across our world-class culinary spaces.  In a fast-paced, high-energy environment, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the heart of our kitchens running strong!

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Directly oversee all engineering operations and maintenance staff, including scheduling, setting priorities and goals, hiring, training, performance feedback, promotions, and employee engagement
  • Ensure all facilities and engineering activities comply with local, state, and federal health, safety, and building codes, while maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Manage and oversee preventative maintenance programs, including scheduled maintenance, cleaning, and repair or replacement of equipment
  • Monitor utility usage and costs, maintaining required logs and ensuring efficient consumption
  • Manage inventory levels and oversee purchasing of parts, tools, equipment, and machinery in accordance with property standards

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of prior relevant experience as a manager or related technical education and/or experience
  • Extensive experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and overseeing the operation of commercial hot and cold kitchen equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime preferred
  • Must be available to work between 6am and 4pm, including weekends and holidays
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
