The SDS Design Lead Engineer is responsible for design and development of products for the subsea oil fields distribution system. Works in a multicultural team of cross functional specialists, being responsible for definition of product requirements, design of new products and development of new solutions for existing products.Contributes to product technological development, provides technical information and support to clients and colleagues.Leads and coordinates suppliers during product design, manufacturing and testing.Is customer focused and project oriented, delivers in fast phased environment deliver on time on quality and on safety.

As Lead Engineer, Customer Order Engineering – Mechanical will have the following responsibilities:

  • Establish technical requirements basing on customer functional specifications and project needs in compliance with international codes and standards
  • Lead and contribute on design development activities such as CAD modelling and documents creation ensuring alignment with requirements and schedule
  • Work cross functionally with other teams and departments to align interfaces, design, activities, and deliverables.
  • Present design outcomes in design reviews when and as relevant.
  • Manage engineering suppliers on the technical standpoint, providing guidance and granting compliance to applicable technical and contractual requirements.
  • Provide engineering support to program management and any other stakeholder.
  • Support the sourcing team through procurement, manufacturing and test of designed products
  • Provides consultancy advice to the project bid team

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bachelor degree of Mechanical Engineer or equivalent
  • Expert in 3D CAD modelling.
  • Proactive and willing to take ownership and responsibility
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, fluent in English.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Subsea equipment knowledge and relevant design methodologies
  • Master’s degree preferred
