About the role

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Senior Supervising Social Worker to join its client’s Fostering team based in Preston.

What will your responsibilities be?

In this role, you will:

  • Supervise and support foster parents, including induction and TSDS portfolio completion.
  • Conduct Form F assessments and regular support visits.
  • Facilitate monthly reflective sessions to enhance carers’ understanding of child development.
  • Work directly with children to promote stability and positive outcomes.
  • Identify training needs and develop Personal Development Plans (PDPs).
  • Conduct unannounced visits, health & safety checks, and risk assessments.
  • Present Annual Reviews to the Faith Fostering Panel.
  • Prepare reports for LAC reviews and placement stability meetings.
  • Respond to referrals, match placements, and liaise with local authorities.
  • Participate in recruitment campaigns and assess foster carers’ ongoing suitability.
  • Attend monthly reflective supervision with the Registered Manager.
  • Ensure full compliance with safeguarding legislation and agency policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • A degree in Social Work (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
  • Registration with Social Work England (SWE)
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience (preferred)
  • Strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills
  • Knowledge of systemic and social learning theories
  • Proficiency in digital record-keeping and documentation
