About the role

Job Description:

Primary Objective

To accurately and efficiently receive, store, control, issue, pick and deliver all inventory assets of MTS Eden Prairie at our Bloomington (Nesbitt) warehouse location.

Areas of Accountability

  • Operates a variety of powered industrial material handling equipment as required by corporate safety programs including standing high-lift units and order pickers.

  • Updates material master data related to material, including weights, measures, and photographs using computer and measuring equipment.

  • Accurately picks and processes transfer orders, along with consolidation of materials to support service orders.

  • Ensures that material is adequately protected against handling damage and degradation from corrosion.

  • Packages materials within appropriate containers to ensure products are protected during transportation.

  • Places materials into storage locations in a manner that will achieve best utilization of available space.

  • Is keenly aware of the crucial need for physical-to-record accuracy and participates in cycle counting assignments and annual full-physical inventory counts as required.

  • Receives, issues, and delivers material in suitable containers as required by schedules, ensuring that all items are properly identified.

  • Loading and unloading of daily transfer truck runs between facilities.

  • Excellent time management skills, with ability to sort and organize work and tasks by priority.

  • Reviews inventory status for items requested on unplanned basis and determines whether items may be issued, or planner/buyer approval must be obtained.

  • Clearly understands and can perform the vital transactions to process a delivery.

  • Linkage of serial numbers if required and the confirmation of the pick list.

  • Monitors late parts and expedites when necessary to maintain customer requirements.

  • Maintains competence in handling ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) sensitive materials in compliance with MTS policies and procedures. 

  • Successfully completes annual ESD training.

  • Perform miscellaneous duties and special assignments as directed.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED plus 1 year experience.

  • Aptitude in comprehending and operating computerized inventory control system.

  • Basic Knowledge and understanding of inventory policies and procedures.

Compensation Information:

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $22-$26 based on relevant education and experience.
