In order to support Air Power Engineering, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a
Lead Engineer Tech Pubs and In-Service Support (d/f/m)
The "Digital Flight Control Systems" department at Airbus Defence & Space is in charge of requirements definition, System Design, Qualification and Certification for safety critical systems of manned and unmanned air vehicles.
We are an international team working on innovative solutions to ensure that our weapon systems remain competitive and capable in a constantly evolving environment.
We are looking for support to our international team as a System Designer taking care of the Technical Publications and In-Service Support for the Eurofighter programme supporting in addition the general System Design.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Technical Publications:
Technical Support as point of contact within the Eurofighter FCS (Flight Control System)
Responsible for the review and validation of technical documentation of the FCS System
Analysis of Flight Limitations and therefore correct implementation into flight crew checklists
Preparation, verification and release of technical procedures in alignment with customer agreements (e.g. NETMA, German Certification Authority and Eurofighter GmbH)
In-Service Support:
Technical Focal Point towards the German "Systemunterstützungszentrum - SUZ" (technical support center). This includes the responsibility for an in-time In-Service support solving upcoming queries.
General:
As Lead Engineer within Technical Publications and in Service Support you will have the technical lead of this discipline and therefore additional soft skills within leadership are a plus
Furthermore the coordination of activities for subcontracting, budget planning, cost estimations in cooperation with the Line Management are part of this position.
Desired skills and qualifications
Master's degree in Aerospace, System Engineering or equivalent
At least 6 years of professional experience in System Engineering/Design
Very good communication skills
Familiar to work within a international environment
Previous experience within the Eurofighter programme
As one of the stakeholder are the German certification authorities, proven knowledge in writing and speaking the German language is a plus
Knowledge or previous background in maintenance activities is a plus
Knowledge of the Flight Control System is a plus
