Do you want to lead a business of an advanced product portfolio in an organization where technology, innovation, and collaboration are at the forefront? We are now looking for an engaged and strategic Head of Contract & Project Management for RWE Tornado product family.

The Product Unit EW is a part of the Business Unit Fighter Core Capabilities within Surveillance. The Product Unit is responsible for profitability, strategies, budgets and long- and short term goals for the portfolio within the EW Product family. The product unit consists of contract- project- and product management as well as System design, Software development, Integration and Verification.

As Department Manager for Contract & Project Management RWE Tornado within Product Unit EW, you will play a central role in turning strategy into successful delivery. You will be accountable for contract execution and project delivery across several critical programs, ensuring that commitments are fulfilled on time, with the right quality, and with strong business performance.

You will lead and develop a team of Project Managers and Technical Project Managers, building a culture defined by accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. By setting clear expectations and fostering engagement, you will enable your team to perform at their best in a complex and dynamic environment. You will also be a part of the PU EW Management team.

A key part of your mission is to create the conditions for successful execution—internally as well as externally. You will work in close cooperation with platform integrators, customers, and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and strong partnerships throughout the full lifecycle.

Beyond execution, you will also contribute to growth by supporting business development, driving add-on sales to existing customers, and ensuring robust contract establishment for future business.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Lead, coach, and develop the Contract & Project Management team
• Secure successful execution of contracts and projects, with focus on delivery, quality, and profitability
• Establish and maintain an effective execution environment internally and externally
• Drive strong cross-functional collaboration across the Product Unit and Business Unit
• Support business development, including new opportunities and contract establishment
• Drive Marketing & Sales activities for add-on business in alignment with the central organization
• Contribute to Product Offer and Offer Development processes, including cost estimation
• Ensure strong governance, risk management, and stakeholder alignment across projects

We believe you have:

• Proven experience in project, program, or portfolio management within advanced technology environments
• Leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams
• Strong understanding of contracts, customer relationships, and commercial drivers
• Solid business acumen, including cost control, margins, and delivery commitments
• Experience working in cross-functional, stakeholder-rich environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Relevant academic degree or equivalent professional experience
