Technician Welder
We require an experienced TIG Welder with proven competence in the fabrication and welding of duplex and Inconel-clad carbon steel pipe spools. The successful candidate will support production of high-integrity process piping, working within size ranges from ¾" to 9" OD in accordance with project specifications and applicable welding codes.

As a Technician Welder III, you will be responsible for
Executing GTAW (TIG) welding on duplex stainless steels and Inconel-clad carbon steel to specified Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
Fabricating and welding pipe spools (¾"–9" OD) to required tolerances, ensuring alignment, root integrity, and full weld penetration per specification.
Working to ASME IX and EN ISO 15614/9606 welding qualification standards (or company‑specific equivalents).
Interpreting isometric drawings, P&IDs, engineering drawings, weld maps and WPS/PQR documentation.
Conducting weld preparation including joint fit-up, bevel inspection, purge setup, and consumable control.
Ensuring welds meet all NDE/QA acceptance criteria, including VT, PT, RT, and/or UT where required.
Maintaining compliance with internal fabrication procedures, safety protocols, and material traceability requirements.
Collaborating with production supervision, welding inspectors, and QA personnel to ensure schedule adherence and quality compliance.

To be successful in this role, you should have
Be a time served Welder/ Mechanical Apprentice with a supporting engineering qualification
Have strong experience within a Welding TIG, Spool manufacturing
Be able to read, understand and interpret engineering documentation
Have good knowledge of HSE requirements and be able to follow safety policies and procedures.
Demonstrable experience in GTAW welding of duplex and Inconel overlay/clad materials, specifically on pipe spools and pressure-retaining components.
Valid and in-date coding qualifications to ASME IX or EN ISO 9606 standards (or willingness/ability to complete new approval testing).
Strong understanding of heat input control, ferrite control in duplex materials, and handling of nickel alloys.
Ability to work from and accurately interpret technical drawings, WPS, and fabrication data sheets.
High level of workmanship and competence in producing welds suitable for stringent inspection and NDE.
Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team-focused fabrication environment
Should be flexible to work in rotational shifts
Have a permanent work permit in UK
