Job Description

Step into a role where you will utilize your experience in project management and quality risk assessment to ensure a holistic and clear end-to-end risk picture in our New Product Launch (NPL) projects and steer us towards a more proactive approach in terms of moving quality upstream.

Meet your future team

You will become part of our Global Quality, Health, Safety, Environment & Energy Organization in VELUX. We are a global, dedicated, and experienced team of employees who are driving a holistic, agile and proactive QHSE&E agenda with our partners to achieve an effective development of the VELUX business. Joining our skilled Quality Development team, you will as Senior Quality Risk Manager collaborate with colleagues across our product development organisation and operations & supply and have the opportunity to make a difference for how we develop and manufacture our high-quality products.

Preferably, you will be based in Skjern, but for the right candidate we can accommodate a setup where Østbirk will be the primary work location if preferred. You will report directly to the Director of Quality Development.

What we offer

As Senior Quality Risk Manager you will ensure a holistic and clear end-to-end risk picture in our New Product Launch (NPL) projects and steer us towards a more proactive approach in terms of moving quality upstream, thereby ensuring higher predictability and stability of New Product Introduction by decreasing and managing risks at early stages.

You will take on a project managing role for driving quality in our NPL projects, and you will collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders in e.g. product development, supply and operations, global product management and quality. You will closely interact with our Product Quality Specialists who will provide you with updates and information on FMEA risks and other quality assurance issues to help you build an overall, full and unbiased risk picture across our design and supply organizations. You will consolidate information and facilitate informed decisions at gates and ensure that gatekeepers have a full understanding of the impact and trade-offs of decisions across the entire value chain by consolidating deliverables.

More specifically, you will:

  • Establish the quality risk planning (scope, time and resources, deadlines and dependencies) and agree on Quality NPL KPI targets with core team and gatekeepers

  • Engage, inspire and challenge the project to ensure a quality mindset and support on assessing throughout the project lifetime when it is sufficient

  • Represent Quality in various decision forums and update and prepare VP Global QHSE&E for Stage Gate meetings

  • Lead Quality team meetings to consolidate the Quality plan to ensure a holistic risk picture

  • Follow up proactively after product launch to act before failures occur or mitigate number of parts affected

  • Analyze lessons learned and key findings from each stage at the gates to share and implement these insights in next stage

What you will bring

As a person, you are structured and systematic and take pride in delivering on your responsibilities on time and at required quality. You are proficient in planning and know how to visualize a project plan and break it into suitable work packages. You are collaborative and a skilled communicator with the ability to get people onboard and work towards one common goal. This requires solid stakeholder management skills, and you are characterised by your ability to efficiently work and communicate across all levels of an organization and with a diverse group of stakeholders, making your opinions known and standing up for yourself and your quality agenda. You are a team player, and you know how to motivate your project team continuously to deliver high quality on time. You comfortably lead the way and are able to lead transformations and inspire people to change their behaviour.

Moreover, we expect that you:

  • Have acquired a technical acumen through your educational background in a technically relevant area, e.g. engineering or equivalent

  • Hold some years of experience in product risk management and project/program management, and have a well-developed project management toolbox

  • Have experience in risk assessment, risk management and working with stage gate in new product development.

  • Communicate in English at a professional level – verbally and in writing. Danish skills will be an advantage but not a prerequisite.

PPAP, APQP, and Six Sigma experience, combined with knowledge of advanced quality tools, will be an advantage but not a prerequisite.

Knowledge of electronics will be an advantage, but not a prerequisite.
