Join our team of data scientists at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll contribute to innovation through advanced analytics and AI solutions. As a Scientist II in Data Sciences, you'll apply technologies to solve complex business challenges across our organization. You'll work on diverse projects ranging from predictive modeling and machine learning to generative AI applications, collaborating with teams to deliver solutions that advance our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
In this role, you'll design and implement analytical models, perform exploratory data analysis, and develop data-driven insights that inform strategic decision-making. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing Analytics, or related quantitative field; OR Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
- 2+ years of experience in analytics, data science, marketing analytics, customer insights, or related field
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience performing exploratory data analysis and developing actionable business insights
- Experience with statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and machine learning techniques
- Knowledge of experimental design and A/B testing methodologies
- Experience working with large datasets in cloud-based environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business recommendations
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders in matrix organizations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in marketing analytics, customer analytics, behavioral analytics, or commercial analytics
- Experience with customer segmentation, propensity modeling, churn prediction, lead scoring, or customer lifetime value modeling
- Familiarity with digital marketing measurement and attribution methodologies
- Experience with Databricks, Spark, Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platforms
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools
- Knowledge of CRM platforms such as Salesforce and marketing platforms such as Adobe Experience Cloud
- Experience supporting commercial, sales, or marketing organizations
- Familiarity with healthcare, life sciences, biotechnology, or B2B commercial environments
- Experience with Generative AI applications for customer insights and marketing effectiveness
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $75,900.00–$101,200.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
