Executive Pastry Chef

The Times Square EDITION | New York, NY
Salary: $95,000 – $105,000 


About the Opportunity

The Times Square EDITION is seeking an experienced and creative Executive Pastry Chef to lead all pastry and baking operations across the property.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a high-volume, luxury environment and is passionate about delivering a pastry program that is seasonal, market-driven, and refined, with American influence and Italian inspiration.


What You’ll Do

Lead the Pastry Program

  • Develop and execute seasonal dessert, bread, breakfast pastry, and amenity menus
  • Oversee production for restaurant, in-room dining, events, lobby bar, and VIP amenities
  • Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation across all outlets

Manage & Develop the Team

  • Lead, train, and schedule a pastry team of 5–7
  • Recruit, mentor, and build a strong, accountable team culture
  • Support growth and development of junior talent

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Manage food cost, labor, inventory, and waste
  • Maintain standardized recipes, systems, and prep procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards

Collaborate & Innovate

  • Partner with Executive Chef and Corporate Pastry Chef on menu development
  • Contribute to seasonal activations and special events
  • Stay current with pastry trends while executing timeless concepts

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of pastry leadership experience in luxury hotels, fine dining, or upscale high-volume kitchens
  • Previous Executive Pastry Chef or senior leadership experience preferred
  • Michelin-starred or critically acclaimed restaurant experience a plus
  • Strong foundation in plated desserts, viennoiserie, breads, and banquet production
  • Proven ability to manage food cost, labor, and kitchen operations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
