Job Description

Who is Quantium?

Quantium is a world leader in data science and artificial intelligence. Established in Australia in 2002, Quantium is a global team of more than 1,200 people across 14 locations with a unique blend of capabilities across product and consulting services to help businesses unlock value from data and analytics. Quantium partners with the world's largest corporations to forge a better, more intelligent world.

About the role

We are looking for a Release & Launch Manager to join our Product Enablement team in Sydney. This is a newly shaped role, purpose-built to bring rigour, coordination and operational discipline to how we release product changes and take new features to market across Quantium's suite of retail analytics products — including our flagship Q.Checkout platform.

This is not a product marketing or product management role. You will not be owning campaign strategy or building roadmaps. Instead, you will be the central gatekeeper who ensures every release — from major feature launches to regulatory-driven product updates — is properly sequenced, tested, signed off and communicated before it reaches clients. You will sit inside the product team but work across the entire business.

Our products operate across multiple markets including Australia, the UK and the US, and this role spans all of them. You will work closely with product managers, the consumer marketing team, client success, sales and technical teams across these geographies to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Given the global nature of the role, you will occasionally need to be available outside of standard Sydney business hours to connect with stakeholders in the UK and US. We are flexible about how this is managed and it will not be an everyday occurrence — but it is worth knowing upfront that some schedule flexibility is part of what makes this role work.

How will you make an impact?

  • Release coordination: Own the end-to-end release process — from readiness checks, stakeholder sign-off and cross-team alignment, through to launch sequencing and post-release communication
  • Release communication: Translate complex product and data changes into clear, plain-language communications for internal teams and external users, ensuring clients are informed in a timely and consolidated way
  • Calendar management: Maintain a consolidated release and launch calendar that sequences activity across multiple products and markets, preventing clashes and protecting the client experience
  • Stakeholder management: Act as the bridge between product, commercial, client success and marketing teams — coordinating competing priorities and building trusted relationships across the business and across geographies
  • Process improvement: Identify and embed best-practice release processes to reduce last-minute surprises, increase launch quality and drive a more consistent experience for clients

The superpowers you will be bringing to the team

  • Release and delivery experience: Proven experience coordinating product releases or launches in a multi-stakeholder environment — a background in release management, agile delivery or project coordination is highly regarded
  • Commercial awareness: Understanding of product and release dynamics in a fast-moving environment, with the ability to balance competing priorities and make sound judgement calls
  • Communication skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate technical product changes into clear, client-ready messaging
  • Stakeholder influence: Confidence to engage, challenge and align stakeholders across different teams and seniority levels — including those outside your direct reporting line and across different time zones
  • Operational rigour: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a complex release calendar, spot risks before they become problems and hold teams accountable to process
  • Industry knowledge: Background in retail, FMCG or a multi-product SaaS environment is a bonus — but what matters most is your ability to learn quickly and navigate complexity

Remember — you might not tick every box, but don't let that stop you from applying. We are more interested in how you work, your ability to bring people together and your drive to make things happen.
