Highlights:

Summary:The Treatment Scheduler is responsible for providing a variety of scheduling support services for the Montgomery Cancer Center, including chemotherapy regimens, outside diagnostic testing, consults to other physicians, and hospital admissions. The Scheduler role also serves as a trainer and mentor for new schedulers. This individual works with the MCC personnel to ensure all support functions are operating efficiently, effectively, and with the highest level of quality and concern for each patient. The Scheduler serves as a customer service representative of MCC by assisting patients and guests as needed. Education / Experience:High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 1 year experience in a healthcare setting. Clerical experience required. Formal healthcare education/training preferred. License / Certification: None Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Must have the ability to successfully complete work within rigid time constraints.
• Must possess reasoning ability and good independent judgment.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Position requires sitting for 20% of the workday and mobility 80% of the workday.
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 15 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
Much exposure to computer work.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
