The Role and Impact:As a Facilities Mechanical area Manager, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the mechanical system well-being not limited to safety, Quality, Reliability and cost efficiency. By driving operational excellence in building and facilities management, you will enable Intel's factories to thrive during technology transfers, construction ramps, and factory production needs. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate across teams, influence critical decision-making processes, and foster innovation in sustainable energy management and operational readiness. Your expertise will guide the development and execution of strategic plans that impact Intel's global success, ensuring facilities match operational requirements and support growth across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of engineers overseeing facility safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Analyze client needs to develop plans, RFQs, RFIs, and specifications for facility improvements.
- Supervise capital equipment installations, ensuring alignment with project scopes, drawings, budget, and timelines.
- Facilitate workflow management for contract project managers involved in installations and construction ramps.
- Drive effective communication during emergencies affecting facility services, ensuring business continuity.
- Oversee all financial aspects of assigned projects, including budgeting and invoice processing.
- Develop and execute change management strategies and communication plans for stakeholders.
- Promote employee engagement through event planning and execution within budget and timelines.
- Ensure sustainable energy management and systems design for long-term operational success.
- Support factory ramps by enabling commissioning and operational readiness of transferred technologies.
- Apply differentiated performance management to build effective teams and inspire results through others.
- Maintain accountability, set clear goals, and ensure disciplined execution across the team.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience managing facilities operations.
- Proficiency with systems design, EHS risk management, and sustainable energy management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of engineer and technician in achieving operational excellence.
- Experience with budgeting, financial oversight, and vendor contract management.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proven ability to develop others and build effective teams in diverse and dynamic environments.
- Expertise in driving results through others and applying analytical thinking to complex challenges.
