Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports – including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add-on subscriptions such as Apple TV+, Max, Crunchyroll and MGM+. All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads.

As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. As a leading member of the core team, you will apply your deep knowledge of Technical Program Management to solve complex problems and set a new entertainment experience bar that will be loved by millions of customers. You will own the end to end planning, execution and launch of transformational programs in Media and Localization, often leveraging the state-of-the-art in AI, driving change across Prime Video and the industry. You will be trusted to operate with complete independence and are often assigned to focus on areas where the business and/or architectural strategy has not yet been defined. You must be equally comfortable digging in to business requirements as you are drilling into design with development with teams. This area has visibility across several executive levels and you will be influencing leaders at all levels.
Key job responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality solutions at high-velocity that enable the Prime Video meet growing customer needs.
- Operate in high ambiguity situations, often driving clarity to ensure critical initiatives progress successfully.
- Proactively look around corners to identify and mitigate risks, communicating regularly with executive and non-executive stakeholders on project status and issues.
- Exercise deep technical expertise in distributed AI-based systems and large-scale data processing to drive technical decisions that address deficiencies of existing systems and optimize performance.
- Use data-driven analyses to make a compelling case for project priorities and resource allocation.
- Partner closely with engineering, product, and business leaders to align initiatives with high-level objectives and achieve measurable improvements in efficiency or customer experience.
- Communicate ideas effectively to a wide range of audiences, foster constructive dialogue, and lead the resolution of contentious technical issues.

- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
