Location: Beckenham Beacon Hospital & Community (Home Visits)

Start Date: ASAP

Working Hours: Full-time or part-time, Monday–Friday, between 08:00–17:00

Contract Type: Locum – Ongoing

Job Overview

Pulse is now recruiting an experienced Band 6 or Band 7 Adult Speech and Language Therapist to join a dynamic service based at Beckenham Beacon Hospital, with additional home‑visit responsibilities across the local community. This ongoing locum role offers flexibility with full‑time or part‑time hours and provides the opportunity to work across a varied and rewarding adult caseload.

The successful clinician will deliver high‑quality assessment and intervention for adults presenting with dysphagia, communication difficulties, voice disorders, and stammering, working both in clinic and within patients’ homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a clinical caseload of adults with dysphagia, communication, voice, and fluency needs
  • Conduct assessments and develop appropriate management and treatment plans
  • Provide therapy in clinic settings and through community home visits
  • Work autonomously while contributing to a wider multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Support service delivery and uphold high standards of patient care

Requirements

  • Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree (or equivalent)
  • HCPC registration (required)
  • Experience working with acquired dysphagia and communication caseloads at Band 6/7 level
  • Ability to independently manage a dysphagia caseload
  • Completion of RCSLT Newly Qualified SLT competencies
  • Car driver with access to own vehicle (essential for home visits)
