Are you ready to elevate your career in Real Estate and Broad Scale Land Management in the Mining and Resources Area? We are seeking a qualified Real Estate & Land Consultant to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will support the management of a diverse and expansive land portfolio across our Australian operations, spanning from Western Australia (Kwinana to Bunbury) to Victoria (Geelong, Anglesea, and Portland).
This rewarding position offers the opportunity to oversee various land types and tackle complex challenges. You will provide expert guidance on land use, tenure, and stewardship, while managing commercial, residential, and rural assets within a broader industrial and environmental context.
Working as part of a collaborative team, your core activities will include:
Assessing the impact of proposed changes to local land management plans to ensure alignment with regional strategies, environmental policies, and operational requirements.
Facilitating land access, leasing, and acquisition/divestment activities, including proactive engagement with community stakeholders, governmental bodies, and rural/commercial tenants.
Developing a comprehensive understanding of market trends to advise on zoning changes, site selection, and the socio-economic impacts of land use decisions.
Preparing detailed land management reports, occupancy agreements, and statutory contracts to ensure robust governance.
Maintaining precise databases of land titles, lease obligations, property data and spatial data to ensure the integrity of the regional portfolio.
Navigating complex property legislation and environmental regulations to obtain necessary permits and ensure total compliance across all sites.

What you can bring to the role
Tertiary qualifications in a property related discipline coupled with a Real Estate, Property Management or Property Valuation accreditation would be considered highly desirable.
Previous experience in property management or a related field with an understanding of broad scale land management & real estate principles and practices.
Demonstrated knowledge of property valuation or market analysis.
Exposure to working within a diverse portfolio of property types (office, industrial, mining leases, rural land) would be desirable.
Your organisational and time management skills with an ability to balance multiple priorities.
Strong communication and negotiation skills for real estate deals with the ability to build positive relationships, work well as part of a team but also independently.
A valid WA driver's license that will require frequent weekly travel between Alcoa’s WA operations as far as Perth to Bunbury.
