We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our collaborative finance team. This role is a great opportunity to build a strong foundation in cash accounting within a supportive and team-oriented environment.
In this role, you will report to the Accounting Supervisor and play an active role in cash accounting and month-end close processes, with ownership over key cash-related accounting areas.
This position offers broad exposure across the finance organization and an opportunity to expand your accounting knowledge while growing within a high-performing team.
You will:
Cash Accounting & Month-End Close
- Record and reconcile daily cash transactions, including deposits, disbursements, and bank account activity
- Prepare journal entries and monthly cash account reconciliations to support an accurate and timely close
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining the accuracy of cash balances across all accounts
- Support cash flow reporting and assist with cash forecasting as needed
Process Improvement & Operational Support
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of cash accounting processes, including identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen controls
- Support the preparation and maintenance of documentation for internal controls and external audit requests
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc analyses as the business continues to scale
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field)
- 1+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Foundational knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to take ownership of assigned areas and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
You have an advantage if you have:
- Experience with a general ledger system (NetSuite experience is a plus)
- Exposure to cash reconciliations or bank reconciliation processes
- Experience supporting month-end close processes
Salary Range: $68,000-$80,000
In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
