THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Manager Software Engineer (Tech Lead) in our MMS Team in Brazil! This is a Remote – Brazil position, meaning you can work from anywhere within the country.

At the BASE Focus Area, we build the core of the Wellhub business model. Our mission is to create a truly scalable platform capable of supporting tens of millions of active users and clients worldwide, ensuring high availability while remaining flexible and extensible to support new business models.

Our team is responsible for the Marketplace Value Management Systems, which optimize the value delivered through the marketplace for both users and clients while maintaining healthy margins for Wellhub. We build sophisticated tools, services, and data pipelines that power critical marketplace capabilities, including pricing, plans, usage restrictions, product allocations, partner offers, and bulk client operations.

From a technical perspective, we focus on designing highly scalable and reliable systems capable of handling large volumes of data and traffic. Given the central role of our services in the platform, you will have the opportunity to influence architecture decisions that impact the broader microservices ecosystem.

In this role, you will combine technical leadership with hands-on engineering, working closely with engineers and cross-functional partners to deliver impactful solutions. You will also have the opportunity to further develop both leadership and technical depth, depending on your career aspirations and strengths.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve services focusing on performance, scalability, and resilience;
• Build Integration with 3rd party API and tools;
• Support existing systems looking to enhance functionality, increase scale, and transform in new ways to meet our product demands;

WHO YOU ARE

• An engineer with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience;
• Experienced in managing and mentoring multiple multidisciplinary teams of software engineers;
• Experienced in architecting large-scale multi-tier web applications;
• Experienced in designing and developing complex modern web applications;
• Experienced in Cloud-based architectures (AWS / GCP);
• Experienced in developing RESTful web services collaborating with front-end teams to create mocks, define payloads and follow the HTTP best practices;
• Experienced in applying computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis;
