Washington State University, College of Arts & Sciences is now accepting applications for a Director of Administrative Services. You will serve as a senior member of the College of Arts and Sciences leadership team and will report directly to the Dean. You are responsible for the overall financial management of the college; you will manage a large team and provide guidance on the administrative functions. You serve as a principal consultant and advisor to the Dean, as well as a college liaison to central administration on all financial issues.

This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime exempt.
This is an on-site/in-person position located in Pullman, WA.
Monthly Salary: $9,338.85 - $12,128.38 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or closely related field with an accounting emphasis and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in accounting and business management which has included supervisory and facilities management experience. A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or closely related field and/or CPA certification may be substituted for one (1) year of the required work experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Demonstrated ability to provide financial information to support decision-making at strategic levels for a complex organization.
Demonstrated knowledge of complex budget/accounting and business processes.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a challenging environment while meeting required deadlines.
Demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency with Workday, a cloud-based ERP solution and other related financial, human resources, management, and administrative software systems.
Ability to think strategically and implement changes to support and improve activities of the college.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and interact effectively with people in a manner that engenders confidence and trust.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree or professional accreditation in business or accounting administration or related field.
Budget and finance administrator experience in a comprehensive research university.
Thorough knowledge of budget management, projections, and reporting at college, university, or to external agencies.
Experience with Workday and Adaptive Planning.
Knowledge of Washington Administrative Codes and WSU University Policies and Procedures.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the position working in a higher education environment.
