Head of Taiwan Operations

Who You’ll Work With:

This role will lead and oversee the company’s operations team including Fund Accounting/Administration, Transfer Agent, Middle Office/Trade Support and Client Reporting.  This role will ultimately report into the Global Head of Institutional Investment Management Operations directly reporting to the Head of APAC (ex-Japan) Operations.  The primary responsibilities are in support of the Taiwan AB Business and have a high focus on the roll out of additional ETFs as well as supporting existing Fund Business as well as Institutional Business.  This function will work closely with all Taiwan business units, (including the local investment teams), our Regional Middle Office groups, as well as with our Global Operations and the Global ETF and Operations teams. And with certain regional business units across Operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and implement operational policies and strategic plans.
  • Review and monitor (and develop new) key performance indicators.
  • Identify risks and develop plans to mitigate
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness through process optimization and streamlining operations.
• Have proficiency in Fund Accounting and Administration with strong knowledge in oversight of Fund Operations, ranging from day-to-day NAV calculations, dividend income processing and analysis, tax implications for local Taiwan funds, financial, regulatory and tax reporting requirements, as well as audit coordination. 
• Full understanding of Transfer Agent, Trade Support and Client reporting functions.
• Promote and implement advanced corporate initiatives relating to day-to-day operations in Taiwan, including fund structuring and launches, mergers and other complex matters relating to local Taiwan funds.
• Collaborate with Business Units in Taiwan and Globally on business initiatives.
• Communicate the strategy and results to the firm’s colleagues.
• Manage outsourced functions and relationships.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and disruptions, implement contingency plans to ensure business continuity
• Oversee the Investment Operations process (including but not limited to trade processing, settlement, reconciliation and compliance) and provide guidance to incidents.
• Provide leadership to managers and staff.
• Support new and growing ETF business in Taiwan.

• Fluent in both English and Mandarin
• Strong vendor management skills
• Minimum 15 (or more) years of experience in financial industry
• SITE license
