A Day in The Life Of:
In general, the following responsibilities apply for the Senior Software engineer role. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Complete assigned tasks within established deadlines
- Design and deploy CI/CD pipelines
- Design proactive monitoring and alerting
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Mentor assigned junior engineers focusing on project support and skill development
Key Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s L8 degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 2 years of experience
- Data Architecture, including schema development (JSON/Avro) and ERD-based solutions
- Experience working with CI/CD tools, preferably GitHub Actions
- Experience with IaC tooling, ideally Terraform
- Experience with AWS and AWS native tools including Glue, Athena, Lake Formation, Lambda
- Python (PySpark a big plus)
- Experience with open source tools such as Apache Spark and Iceberg
- AWS certifications a plus
- Experience working in agile teams using principles such as scrum and kanban
- Demonstrated experience automating routine tasks
- On call support experience
