Title and Summary
Director, Agent Suite - Technical Program ManagementAbout Mastercard Agent SuiteMastercard Agent Suite is Mastercard's global product for building, testing, and deploying agentic AI at enterprise scale — drawing on Mastercard's payments expertise, proprietary technology, insights, and a global advisory network of 4,000 professionals. As the agentic AI era takes hold across financial services, Mastercard's position at the intersection of trust, data, and global connectivity creates a distinctive opportunity to lead.
Solutions Enablement is the team that translates that opportunity into measurable client outcomes. We are in the early stages of building Agent Suite Services — a capability that will define enterprise agentic AI deployment at scale. Those who join now will shape what this capability becomes.
The Role
If the Solutions Architect is the strategist — defining the architecture and validating the technical blueprint — the Technical Program Manager is the activator. You are the force that puts the plan in motion, keeps it moving, and brings every stakeholder, partner, and workstream across the finish line. You are the connective tissue between vision and delivery, between Mastercard's commitment and the client's reality, between the pace the market demands and the standards Mastercard upholds.
You own the delivery lifecycle for Agent Suite implementations in your market from POC sign-off through production deployment and structured client handover. You provide supervisory leadership over forward deploy engineering teams — maintaining the executive-level visibility required for stakeholder conversations while remaining grounded enough in the technical reality to guide, unblock, and hold those teams accountable. Critically, you do this across multiple concurrent engagements simultaneously, without the org chart doing it for you.
The Technical Program Manager and the Solutions Architect are designed to operate as complementary and inseparable partners. The SA owns technical integrity from discovery through validated proof of concept. From POC sign-off, the TPM assumes primary delivery accountability — governing the programme through production deployment and structured client handover, while the SA remains present as the standing technical authority. Together, they form the complete accountability model for every Agent Suite client engagement. Those who join at this stage will have a lasting influence on the delivery culture of Agent Suite Services.
What You Will Do
Activate and Deliver
• Assume primary delivery accountability from POC sign-off through production deployment and structured client handover, working in close and continuous partnership with the Solutions Architect and forward deploy engineering teams, who together constitute the standing technical authority throughout
• Drive zero-to-one implementations from initial ambiguity through MVP, production release, and platform adoption — maintaining clarity of direction and momentum at every stage across all active engagements
• Maintain programme-level governance — plans, RAID logs, dependency maps, and escalation frameworks — at a level of depth sufficient to have credible executive conversations, anticipate delivery risk, and proactively guide forward deploy engineering teams through the technical and organizational challenges that arise in complex client environments, particularly where those teams are developing familiarity with Agent Suite standards, frameworks, and assets
• Supervise and direct the translation of solution architectures into delivery execution — overseeing the sequencing of integrations, UAT environments, and staged rollouts across Mastercard platforms and client infrastructure, while forward deploy engineering teams carry out the hands-on implementation work
• Hold third-party partners and system integrators to the same standards applied to internal workstreams — because every party that touches a Mastercard deployment is an extension of Mastercard's commitment to quality and trust
What We Are Looking For
We Relentlessly Care About the What and About the How
• Mastercard's Decency Quotient is not a values statement — it is how we operate. We hire for IQ, EQ, and DQ in equal measure. High performance and high decency are not in tension in this environment — they are expressions of the same professional standard. The individual who elevates those around them, builds trust across complex stakeholder ecosystems, and consistently chooses the right path over the easy one is the individual who belongs here: Decency Quotient
• You communicate with precision and adapt your register across audiences — from a technical integration discussion with an engineer to a strategic risk conversation with a CFO. More importantly, you are genuinely invested in the people on both sides of those conversations: Communication and genuine care
• You own your outcomes in full — the successful ones and the difficult ones. You do not manage perception at the expense of transparency, nor protect individual standing at the expense of the team or the client: Accountability without ego
• Agent Suite Services is being built in real time. You are comfortable operating without complete certainty, committed to continuous learning, and honest about the boundary between what you know and what you are actively developing: Growth mindset
• You invest in your teammates. You share what you learn in the field. You measure your contribution not only by your individual programme outcomes but by the strength and resilience of the team as a whole: Giver's mindset
• You understand that the strength of this team is inseparable from the diversity of thought, background, and experience each member brings. You contribute to a culture where different perspectives are actively sought, and where collective resilience matters as much as individual excellence: Cultural fit and team spirit
Technical Requirements
• 8+ years delivering complex technology programmes in financial services, fintech, or enterprise AI — including at least one AI, data platform, or API integration programme taken from ambiguity to production in a regulated environment
• Demonstrated systems thinking — the ability to hold the full delivery architecture in mind, anticipate second-order effects, and make trade-off decisions that optimize the whole rather than individual components
• Proven capacity to coordinate and influence across geographies and cultures, managing multi-party delivery ecosystems — client IT organizations, system integrators, platform vendors, and internal stakeholders — concurrently and without compromising quality or accountability
• Working understanding of agentic AI deployment patterns, protocols, and frameworks — including cloud architecture and API integration — sufficient to make informed trade-off decisions and maintain productive technical dialogue with Solutions Architects, forward deploy engineering teams, clients, and third-party partners throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Professional fluency in English, with mandatory fluency in the local language of the market for which the candidate is being considered
