Associate Music Producer

The Associate Music Producer supports certain aspects of larger music related productions while often being responsible for one aspect of a single production. As an Associate Music Producer, you will help coordinate several phases of a production through constant communication, and exceptional planning and organization, and be the liaison between VML and our music partners, including labels, publishers, original music producers and stock music companies, managing more specific workflows through that particular production process. You will be the channel of communication that helps to interpret the musical needs of the client and agency into specific goals that can be achieved with our internal or external resources.

What You'll Do

Plan, schedule and musically support specific project activities toward defined objectives and adhere to defined production requirements
Facilitate communication between the agency and our music suppliers
Maintain project processes, allowing for increased efficiency and usability of resources
Responsible for leading defined phases of music projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget and at the highest level of quality
Develop integrated music production schedules from conception to completion

What You'll Need and Who You Are

Bachelor’s Degree in music, film, photography, theatre, marketing or relevant field, or equivalent work experience
1–2 years of experience/internships in production, advertising and/or the music industry
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead across multi-office internal agency environment
Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal
Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills
Must be extremely organized, detail-oriented and capable of self-managing and multitasking in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Excellent problem-solving skills

Able to apply critical, strategic and musical thinking
