Team

The Devops Engineer would be an active member within the Voice Application Services team, responsible for providing automation and test support for the SW releases of Five9.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Ansible and Terraform
  • Build and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as GitLab CI/CD, or similar
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows across distributed systems
  • Collaborate with Development, QA, and Operations teams to ensure seamless delivery and high system reliability
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to improve availability and scalability
  • Develop and maintain reusable automation modules and frameworks
  • Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and drive improvements in automation and operational workflows
  • Work with REST APIs and integrate services across systems and platforms
  • Leverage AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot to improve productivity and code quality
  • Support and manage voice infrastructure components, including protocols such as SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) and RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol)

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles (preferably in telecom, SaaS, or service provider environments)
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform, including writing and maintaining reusable modules
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux systems, including CLI-based administration and shell scripting
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, or similar)
  • Demonstrated understanding of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot)
  • Familiarity with voice technologies and protocols such as SIP and RTP
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work effectively in distributed, cross-functional teams
