Team

The Devops Engineer would be an active member within the Voice Application Services team, responsible for providing automation and test support for the SW releases of Five9.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Ansible and Terraform
Build and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as GitLab CI/CD, or similar
Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows across distributed systems
Collaborate with Development, QA, and Operations teams to ensure seamless delivery and high system reliability
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to improve availability and scalability
Develop and maintain reusable automation modules and frameworks
Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and drive improvements in automation and operational workflows
Work with REST APIs and integrate services across systems and platforms
Leverage AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot to improve productivity and code quality
Support and manage voice infrastructure components, including protocols such as SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) and RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol)

Qualifications & Skills

3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles (preferably in telecom, SaaS, or service provider environments)
Hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform, including writing and maintaining reusable modules
Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP
Proficiency in Unix/Linux systems, including CLI-based administration and shell scripting
