About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent.
  • Expertise in scripting using python and shell.
  • Capital Markets/Investment Banking experience


Job Expectations:

  • Manage Release Candidate (RC) builds and ensure build pipelines remain unblocked.
  • Troubleshoot build failures in coordination with developers.
  • Develop automation solutions in Shell and Python to reduce manual effort
  • Maintain stable, repeatable, and compliant build pipelines across multiple applications.
  • Support application teams with security scans, governance workflows, and vulnerability triage.
  • Work with AppSec teams to ensure timely remediation of findings.
  • Maintain strong alignment with enterprise security and compliance frameworks.
  • Support GitHub repository governance, workflows, and automation.
  • Enable adoption of GitHub Copilot and prompt‑engineering best practices for developer efficiency.
  • Contribute reusable templates, scripts, and automation leveraging GenAI tools where permissible.
  • Manage Autosys jobs, scheduling, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Work on building software repositories using Gradle and Maven.
  • Support Enterprise pipeline workflows and shield development teams from administrative processes
