Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters North America (AHNA) is searching for a detail-oriented, proactive Compliance Administrator to join our Quality Management Systems team in Columbus, MS

In this highly impactful, 100% onsite role, you won't just be managing data—you will be the ultimate gatekeeper of our Document Center, skills matrices, and aircraft records. Reporting directly to the Head of Quality Management Systems, your expertise will directly safeguard our ability to produce and maintain world-class aircraft while ensuring flawless alignment with FAA, EASA, CASE, and AS9100 requirements.

Your Working Environment:

On the eastern border of Mississippi you’ll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It’s here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

Your Challenges:

Document Center Control: 60%

  • Ensure the Document Center is accurately maintained, controlled and accessible by appropriately trained personnel.

  • Annually review the latest revision levels of Manuals, Procedures, Work Instructions and

  • Ensure applicable documents issued by AH and AHD are accessible to affected parties.

  • Creation of manuals and documents when needed.

  • Development and assistance with implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to support Quality Dashboards.

  • Person acts as liaison, mentor, and provides coaching to department document administrators to ensure requirements / regulations are meet when department documents are created / updated.

  • Provide guidance to other AHNA personnel regarding required regulations / requirements, as needed.

  • Facilitate, implement and communicate updated revisions to processes and documentation to relevant parties.

  • Issue weekly update on documentation updates.

Training Records and Rosters: 20%

  • Ensure organizations of Training Records meet regulatory requirements including FAA & EASA Repair Station, Production Certificate, PMA and DCMA requirements.

  • Maintain applicable rosters including stamp rosters and management/inspection rosters.

  • Implement unified Skills Matrix applicable to AHNA sites.

  • Provide input to and serve as backup for training records manager.

Compliance: 20%

  • Perform scheduled and random spot audits to ensure training records and skills matrices are in compliance and up to date.

  • Report issues/non-compliance to management.

  • Keep track of regulatory requirements for updates and subsequent required changes.

  • Maintain Quality website activity and AS9100 Top Management SharePoint Hub.

Your Boarding Pass:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university. Relevant aviation experience combined with formal training may be substituted.

  • A minimum of 2 years of aviation experience in a FAA Part 21 manufacturing environment and/or Part 145 Repair Station.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with AS9100 requirements.

  • Ability to read regulatory requirements and perform gap analysis in current manuals.

  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with management team, peers and cross-functional work groups in order to report issues and determine necessary changes.  Flexible and adaptable to multi-culture norms with excellent listening skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Understanding of Google Suite

Preferred Skills:

  • 4 years’ in a manufacturing environment preferably producing aircraft or helicopters.

  • Experience with aviation regulatory requirements is highly desirable.

  • Experience with EASA, FAA & CASE standards.

  • 5 years’ experience with AS9100 requirements.

Travel Required:

  • Less than 10% Domestic and International

  • Authorized to Work in the US

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite: 100% onsite at AHI facilities
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Required daily.
  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Required daily.
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Required daily.
  • Equipment Operation: able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment. Required daily.
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, drawings, electronic equipment up to 10lbs. daily
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, drawings, electronic equipment up to 10lbs. daily
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Rarely required.
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer. Required daily.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Required infrequently.
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor. Required daily.
  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Approximately 40%.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Required daily.
  • Personal Protective Equipment required: steel toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits; appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor
