Project Manager (Contract)

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join our team. This critical role will help create customer value, foster collaboration, and ensure project success with high-quality deliverables. This is a contract role through End of Year with potential for extension.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive the strategic, tactical and operational delivery planning and execution across large-scale, complex projects-- develop project tasks, deliverables, dependencies and ensure resource availability and allocation
• Collaborate cross-functionally to create, execute and communicate project plans (scope, schedule, staffing plans, quality, risk management, budget, and procurement) --ensure timely delivery & adherence to high quality standards
• Ensure risks are mitigated, issues are resolved, resource gaps are addressed, and projects remain aligned to the strategy objectives
• Establish end-to-end intake, grooming, assignment, and management processes for engineering solutions / tasks / tickets
• Review project financials, evaluate against financial targets and benefits goals, and create action plans to address variances and effectively manage change controls
• Provide analysis and decision-making support for project prioritization
• Identify needs for changes to plan and communicate to stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives & strategic initiatives
• Facilitate team meetings and workshops to meet project needs
• Continuously analyze and manage risks to enable successful project completion
• Define and optimize project management and development processes, methodologies, and tools to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness-- continuous improvements and best practices
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, project management or related field, or equivalent experience desired
• 5+ years of project management experience leading complex projects from initiation to completion
• 5+ years of experience with projects /portfolios in an agile environment
• Proficient in project planning, risk management, and change control
• Proven track record of delivering results and monitoring deliverables
• Strong executive level/stakeholder presentation, leadership and communication skills
• Ability to motivate, drive, and inspire teams to meet or exceed project goals & delivery
• Basic SQL skills and knowledge of accounting concepts and processes preferred
