Job Description:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, implementing, and controlling production in an organizational manner to ensure safety, quality, delivery, inventory and costs are met on products that are produced effectively, efficiently, on time, within budget and in compliance with our customer expectations. The Production Supervisor reports to the Production Manager and will be responsible for motivating positive and productive employee development, strong customer service skills, coupled with high energy experience to mentor and motivate a team to deliver quality product on time. Production Supervisor will be directly responsible for the supervision of the plant’s Production Floor Technicians, Material Handler, and Automation/Repair Technicians.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive improvement in all manufacturing processes using the ITW Toolbox.
- Supervision of all non-exempt, Material Handler and Automation, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance assessment and management, and employee counseling.
- Plan and direct work assignments of all direct non-exempt employees.
- Ensure the manufacturing of parts as specified per job or customer requirements and that meet / exceed Quality standards; Work is complete to customer specifications, and shop orders
- Maintain inventory accuracy for their parts and associated components; Input and maintain production data.
- Ensure all production areas are maintained, clean, and safe at all times; Implement and utilize 5S in each cell
- Responsible for creation of production schedule (at least twice weekly) and ensure implementation of schedule
- Communicate and collaborate regularly with Quality Manager, HR Manager, Customer Service Supervisor, Molding & Automation Supervisors regarding any problems and/or concerns
- Use KPIs and/or other manufacturing tools to identify and recommend containment and countermeasure actions; Oversee implementation of improvement actions
- Complete month-end reporting tasks
- Complete other tasks and duties as assigned
- Be proactive from a manufacturing standpoint. For example hr by hr rounds to ensure you are on track through out the day to ensure KPI’s are met daily.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 to 10 years of manufacturing or closely related experience with strong leadership and guidance ability
- Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities
- Strong communications skills (both verbal and written)
- Computer experience is preferred with knowledge of Microsoft office
- Ability to use material handling equipment.
