Position Summary:
The Quality Safety & Environmental Engineer is responsible for ensuring the pilot plant operations are compliant with KORE standards as well as applicable local regulations and norms regarding quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
This role will be responsible for implementation, and continuously improve EOSH (Environment, Occupational Safety & Health) and quality systems in Pilot Plant operations and processes, making sure that our operations meet with our KORE requirements and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy & Documentation Management System.
Support the implementation of the QSE management system in Pilot Plant operations.
Understand and verify the implementation of document management and record keeping systems.
Support and confirm the implementation of food safety and safety critical protocols in our operations.
Confirm the implementation of KORE requirement in our Pilot Plant operations and detect any gaps to implement corrective actions.
Training & Awareness
Confirm the implementation of QSE training program.
Promote awareness of QSE policies and objectives to set a culture of Safety and food safety as part of our main purpose to protect our associates and assets.
Audits & Corrective Actions
Lead the Audit and Corrective Actions procedures in Pilot Plant operations.
Confirm the training of internal auditors in Pilot Plant operations.
Close follow up on corrective actions plans to close deviations reported in audit reports.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Set routines with the operations team to report status, performance, and opportunities in the QSE system of our Pilot Plant operations.
Support the report and communication of KPIs and Dashboard to understand QSE performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree with +3 years of expertise in the food & beverage industry and QSE Management System Implementation,
Knowledge of quality management systems, food safety standards, environmental and occupational safety requirements.
Solid knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety requirements, PCQI certification is desirable.
Experienced in audit processes (internal & external) and corrective actions. Lead Auditor certification is desirable.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills with ability to train and coach cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining compliance and safety standards.
Language proficiency: Native or Business fluency in English
