About the role
The System Administrator will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to management and internal customers.
- Configures and manages Linux/RHEL and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing enhancements to improve reliability and performance
- Monitor daily operations of applications and infrastructure
- Perform system maintenance tasks including patches and updates
- Troubleshoot and resolve application technical issues
- Assist with user account management and security administration
- Support system backups and recovery procedures
- Help maintain system documentation and operational procedures
- Participate in testing during upgrades and implementations
- Generate system reports and analyze performance metrics
- Respond to user support requests related to system functionality
Basic Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in Information Technology; Systems Administration
- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline from an accredited college university is required. Five years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Meeting DoD 8570 level 2 qualifications, which would be any of the following certifications:
- Security+ CE
- CCNA Security
- CySA+
- GICSP
- GSEC
- CND:EC-Council’s Certified Network Defender (CND)
Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
