Highlights:
Day ShiftSummary: The RN - OR, Team Lead shall be responsible to facilitate, coordinate, and evaluate unit activities for the provision of quality patient care. The Team Lead is responsible to Nursing Leadership and will serve as a role model by providing direction in the application of nursing process, quality improvement standards, organizational and departmental goals, and objectives in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The primary role of the Team Lead is to perform as a clinical leader and facilitator their service line area. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Education / Experience: Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 3 years surgery experience preferred. Evidence of commitment to continuing education. License / Certification: Active RN license required, BLS required, CNOR required within 1 year of hire, additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Ability to use computer proficiently.
• Knowledge of regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
• Knowledge in the proper usage of grammar, spelling, punctuation and document composition.
• Ability to Scrub and Circulate.
• Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• Cope with stressful situations and change.
• Prioritize work tasks.
• Utilize good guest relations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and customer relation skills.
