Position Salary Range:
- $95,000 to $105,000; DOE
The Director of Fundraising Events and Volunteer Management is responsible for the annual strategic plan for fundraising events. This includes planning and executing fundraising events and endowment campaigns events, and overseeing all aspects of volunteer recruitment, training, and management. This position is expected to generate $1,000,000 through events for Arizona PBS each year. This position will report to the Executive Director of Development and work closely with the development team at Arizona PBS.
Essential Duties:
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Execution: Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of fundraising events around Arizona including Sedona, Flagstaff, Prescott, and Yuma with a primary focus in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Events could include: annual luncheon, festivals, salons, donor stewardship events, and endowment campaign events and responsibility is from conception to completion.
Fundraising Strategy: Create and implement strategies to meet financial goals, including soliciting in-kind donations and securing sponsorships.
Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers for events and ongoing initiatives to support organizational capacity.
Donor/Volunteer Relations: Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and community members to foster long-term support.
Logistics & Operations: Manage vendor relations, event budgets, venue bookings, and on-site logistics.
Data Management & Reporting: Track donations, manage event-related data in CRM systems, and evaluate event success through reports.
Communication & Marketing: Work and collaborate on marketing materials to promote events, including social media, invitations and email campaigns.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Net revenue from events.
Number of new donors acquired.
Volunteer retention rates and satisfaction.
Budget adherence.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce) Eventbrite, STOVA and or Microsoft Office Suite.•
Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, travel within Arizona and weekends as required for events.
Ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts
Working Environment:
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
Perform tasks in the field within and/or across University campuses.
