About the role
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Franciscan Physician Network is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider for our in-house nocturnist program to further strengthen the Hospitalist Program at Franciscan Health Michigan City in Michigan City, IN. The Nocturnist APP’s will work at the top of their licenses as they cover the hospitalist program’s inpatients (including ICU), admissions from the Emergency Dept and provide cross-coverage (with remote hospitalist physician back-up).
WHAT WE NEED:
Ideal candidate will have at least two years of post-training experience with acute care experience preferred. In addition, the candidate must have a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. APP will need to work collaboratively with patients, their hospitalist physician and emergency department colleagues to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of care.
ACLS certification and willingness to become privileged for intubations and line placement (Franciscan can provide training) is required.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
- Average nightly admits from emergency department: 2 – 10 patients per night
- Sharing cross-coverage calls from non-ICU patients
- Admit to the Hospitalist service on Med/Surg Units
- Trained in procedures or willingness to learn:
- Intubations
