Job Description

The Government Affairs Manager will lead and execute local public policy and government engagement activities in Poland, supporting GSK’s business objectives and patient access priorities. The role builds trusted, compliant relationships with government institutions, payers, regulators and internal HUB partners, while ensuring strong cross‑functional alignment and adherence to corporate policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the Poland government affairs strategy aligned with LOC and European priorities.
  • Manage relationships with government, parliament, payers, regulators, and public agencies.
  • Monitor legislative, regulatory, and reimbursement developments; identify risks and opportunities and advise senior leaders.
  • Design and implement advocacy initiatives, position papers, and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Represent GSK in industry associations, working groups, and multi‑stakeholder forums.
  • Partner closely with Market Access, Medical, Regulatory, Legal & Compliance, Commercial teams and Poland‑based HUBs to ensure aligned messaging and compliant execution.
  • Prepare senior leaders for government engagements; develop briefings, Q&As, and key messages.
  • Track KPIs, budgets, and risks; maintain accurate records in line with transparency and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Law, Political Science, Economics, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 5–8 years’ experience in government affairs, public policy, market access, regulatory, or public affairs, preferably in healthcare or life sciences.
  • Proven experience engaging with Polish government, payer/HTA bodies, or regulators.
  • Strong knowledge of the Polish healthcare system and legislative processes.
  • Fluency in Polish and English.

The annual base salary in Poland for new hires in this position ranges from PLN 348,000 to PLN 580,000 gross, taking into account a number of factors including the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. Depending on the role and internal policies, the position may also be eligible for a bonus (if applicable and based on defined, non-discretionary criteria) and/or awards for exceptional performance (granted at the employer’s discretion). All statutory benefits will be maintained in accordance with Polish law. Other benefits may also be offered, which may include private healthcare, additional paid days off, life insurance, private pension plan and fully paid parental leave & care of family member leave.
