DESCRIPTION:
As an HR Generalist III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will serve as the primary Country HR partner for Colombia and Panama, playing a critical role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives in a complex, matrix environment. You will lead key areas including labor relations, employee engagement, policy and process governance, and compensation alignment with local markets, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and corporate guidelines.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with business leaders, HRBPs, and centers of excellence to drive a cohesive country approach, strengthen company culture, and implement data-driven initiatives that enhance engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness. You will also act as a trusted advisor to leaders, influencing decisions and supporting change management efforts that enable business growth and transformation.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience in a matrix organization
• Strong knowledge of labor laws in Colombia and Panama, with proven experience managing labor relations and conflict resolution
• Demonstrated experience in policy development, process improvement, and ensuring compliance with local and corporate guidelines
• Proven ability to partner with business leaders and influence decision-making without direct authority
• Experience collaborating with regional/global HR teams and centers of excellence (TA, Total Rewards, ER, Payroll, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to solving problems and improving employee experience
• Experience driving employee engagement and culture initiatives across diverse teams
• Change management experience with ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Strong business acumen and ability to balance legal, business, and organizational priorities
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills
