About the role
About JLG, an Oshkosh company
JLG began in 1969, when our founder, John L. Grove set out to resolve growing safety concerns in the construction industry. Since then we have been committed to understanding the challenges and delivering innovative solutions to the access market. We partner with customers to provide quality equipment, training opportunities and trusted support within the access industry. We are a global company, and our products—including mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles and accessories—can be found all over the world.
About the role
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Marketing Intern to join our team and support a broad range of marketing activities across Europe.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain practical experience across social media, PR, events, campaigns and content creation, while working in an international environment. Depending on your interests and study programme, the internship can either focus on general marketing support or be shaped around a thesis/research project with a relevant business topic.
You will work closely with the marketing team and external partners, helping turn ideas and campaigns into engaging content and experiences.
What you could be doing
Social Media & Content
- Support the planning and execution of social media content across relevant European markets.
- Help develop creative content ideas and contribute to content calendars.
- Coordinate with creative agencies, photographers, videographers and other external partners.
- Help organise, manage and archive marketing assets and content.
- Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities for relevant and engaging content.
Events
- Support the organisation and execution of events across Europe.
- Assist with event planning, logistics, guest lists, suppliers and communications.
- Help coordinate with local teams, agencies and event partners.
- Be hands-on during events and help ensure everything runs smoothly.
Campaigns & Marketing Projects
- Support the development and execution of local and European marketing campaigns.
- Assist with research, competitor analysis, market insights and campaign reporting.
- Help coordinate timelines, deliverables and communication between internal teams and external agencies.
- Contribute ideas and take ownership of smaller marketing projects from start to finish.
Thesis opportunity
For students looking to complete a thesis as part of their internship, there is the opportunity to develop a relevant research project alongside the day-to-day marketing activities.
The exact topic can be defined together based on your field of study, interests and our current business priorities.
Who we are looking for
- Currently studying Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, or a related field.
- Passionate about brands, marketing, social media, content and communications.
- Creative, curious and eager to learn.
- Organised and comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proactive and not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
- Comfortable working with both internal teams and external agencies.
- Strong communication skills and a good eye for detail.
- Interested in an international environment and working across different European markets.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Previous experience with social media, content creation, events or marketing is a plus, but not essential.
What you can expect
- A broad and hands-on introduction to marketing in an international environment.
- The opportunity to work across social, PR, events, campaigns and content.
- Exposure to multiple European markets and external creative/marketing partners.
- The opportunity to take ownership of projects and bring your own ideas to the table.
- A supportive environment where you can learn from experienced marketing professionals.
- The possibility to combine practical experience with a thesis project relevant to your studies.
If you are curious, creative and excited to get involved in different sides of marketing, we would love to hear from you.
