Duct Install Apprentice

Job Summary:

We’re looking for a dependable, hard-working Duct Install Apprentice to join our team. In this role, you’ll assist with installing residential ductwork and insulation to ensure energy efficiency, quality performance, and customer satisfaction. This is a great opportunity to learn a skilled trade and grow within the HVAC field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review daily job assignments and ensure truck is stocked with materials and tools
• Assist with installation of ductwork and insulation on residential HVAC systems
• Measure, cut, and fit insulation (fiberglass, foam, and other materials)
• Seal ducts and surfaces using tape, caulking, and adhesives to prevent air leaks
• Secure insulation using staples, wire, and other fasteners
• Install vapor barriers and protective coverings as needed
• Operate hand and power tools safely
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and accurate work records
• Follow all safety guidelines and company standards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Some experience in construction, insulation, painting, or a related trade is a plus
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to follow instructions and work in confined spaces
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team mindset
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Work Environment:

Works in field environments across residential job sites, climbing ladders and navigating uneven surfaces. Regularly works in confined spaces and moves materials up to 50 pounds. Operates hand and power tools and vehicles. Must be able to see, hear, and exchange accurate information with customers and team members. Regular exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and dust.
