Job Description

The primary role of the Food & Beverage Supervisor for the Club Lounge is responsible for supervising the set-up and breakdown of banquet and event spaces in a hotel, conference center, or other event venue. While no job description can possibly provide a comprehensive list of job duties, the following is a summary of the major responsibilities for the position.  

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure compliance with Forbes Standards for guest interactions.

  • Following up with guest complaints and issues

  • Coach and train staff while acting as a role model

  • Maintain cleanliness of work area

  • Monitor food usage during shift to ensure proper food presentation throughout food service times.  

  • Assist with scheduling and planning monthly staff meetings and encouraging a sense of teamwork and respect between all lounge associates. 

  • Maintain stock at appropriate levels and complete all side work.  

  • Attend to and anticipate guests’ needs. 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Previous supervisory experience

  • Associate degree

  • ServSafe

  • TIPS Certification

  • Weekend and holiday availability with occasional overtime.

  • Multitasking with the ability to prioritize

  • Punctuality & Efficiency

  • Communication

  • Customer Service in a luxury environment

  • Teamwork & Leadership

 

Physical Requirements: 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a colleague to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: 

 

  • Must be able to lift equipment, supplies, etc. of at least 30 pounds; push and pull equipment, supplies, etc., at least 75 pounds. 

  • Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure. 

  • The role may require extended periods of time on your feet, especially during peak hotel hours or events. 

  • Good hearing is necessary for effective communication with colleagues, guests, and stakeholders.
