SUMMARY
The Certified Nurse Midwife provides comprehensive women’s health care, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, newborn, family planning, and routine well-woman care. Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, education, counseling, labor and delivery management, and collaboration with physicians and care teams to ensure high-quality patient care across the lifespan.

Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Midwife with ability to practice independently across the full scope of midwifery care
- 1–2 years of related clinical experience preferred; motivated new graduates encouraged to apply
- Strong communication, analytical, and computer skills
- Current CPR and newborn resuscitation certifications preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide prenatal, labor & delivery, postpartum, newborn, and gynecologic care
- Perform assessments, develop care plans, and manage routine and low-risk pregnancies
- Educate and counsel patients on health maintenance, breastfeeding, nutrition, family planning, and postpartum care
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in quality, education, and peer review activities
- Support patient advocacy and promote exceptional women’s health care services

CNM - Certified Nurse-Midwife - American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB), LMW - Licensed Midwife NYS - New York State Education Department (NYSED)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.
