DePuy Synthes are looking for a Training Team Leader - Orthopedics, to be based at the Ringaskiddy Cork site.

As a Training Team Leader, you will be:

Lead the training team, responsible for identifying and assessing training needs, creating tailored training plans, and implementing various training methods to enhance employees' skills and performance. By overseeing our training initiatives, play a vital role in driving employee growth and ensuring the achievement of our business goals.

The responsibilities and the impact YOU will have: 

  • Identifying and assessing future and current training needs
  • Deploying a wide variety of training methods
  • Devising and implementing a comprehensive training strategy that aligns with our business objectives.
  • Identifying training needs, designing relevant programs, and assessing their impact on employee performance and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure employees receive the necessary training to excel in their roles and contribute to the overall success of the company.
  • Enhancing employee skills, improving performance, increasing productivity, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development throughout the organization.
  • Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions.
  • Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, and success periodically and report on them.
  • Provide opportunities for ongoing development.
  • Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.

We would love to hear from YOU, if you have the following essential requirements:

  • BS degree in education, human resources, or a relevant field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Track record of leading teams. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Track record in designing and executing successful training programs. Learning Management System (LMS) experience is preferred.  
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Strong mentoring, coaching and leadership skills are required. Knowledge of Process Excellence/Six Sigma tools and methodologies preferred. 
  • Good understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes is required. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) regulations preferred.
  • Flexible work ethic. Drive, energy and enthusiasm for delivering to commitments.
  • Strong influencing skills and have good Problem-Solving skills.
  • Excellent planning & organizational skills with an attention for detail.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 63,300.00 to 101,315.00.

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions. Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone Orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.
