We are seeking a reliable and friendly Companion Helper to support a 91-year-old woman who is generally healthy but has mild memory decline and hearing difficulties. She enjoys staying active with a weekly social schedule, including outings with friends, games, and occasional trips to Brooklyn. This role is ideal for someone patient, engaging, and comfortable providing transportation and companionship.
Care Responsibilities
- Provide safe transportation to social activities, Brooklyn visits, grocery stores, and the library
- Offer companionship and social engagement (Mahjong, cards, and light activities)
- Assist with grocery shopping and errands
- Provide gentle reminders and supervision as needed
- Ensure a safe, positive, and engaging environment
- 3–4 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Tuesday or Thursday)
Ideal Candidate
- Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle
- Patient and attentive, especially with mild memory decline and hearing challenges
- Friendly, engaging, and dependable
- Comfortable with driving longer local trips (including Brooklyn)
- Flexible and adaptable to schedule or task changes
