About the role: This role will be working for our Mars Petcare segment, where we make life better for pets and their owners.

Role Title: Area Manager

Reporting to: Shift Manager Location: Bathurst, NSW

As an Area Manager, you will lead a team within a production area, delivering safe, quality and efficient outcomes in line with shift priorities. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on executing the production plan, maintaining standards and developing your team.

This can be an entry-level leadership role and a key development pathway into Shift Manager.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and develop a team of production operators within your area.

  • Deliver the production plan in line with shift priorities.

  • Maintain safety, quality and performance standards within your area.

  • Identify and resolve issues within your area, escalating where required.

  • Drive continuous improvement within your area using established systems and tools.

  • Work closely with the Shift Manager and other areas to support overall shift performance.

Your unique ingredients:

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Interest in people leadership and team development.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow clear priorities.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

  • Exposure to manufacturing or production environments (preferred).

  • Exposure to continuous improvement or operational systems (preferred).
