The Environmental Test Team designs and executes comprehensive environmental tests for components and systems to rigorously evaluate products against specification requirements. We are a crucial part of accelerating the pace of reliable hardware development.


ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Dynamics Test Technician to join our rapidly growing team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for setup, operation, and maintenance of advanced dynamic environmental testing. You will play a critical part in executing complex dynamic tests and modal surveys, collecting crucial data that informs engineering decisions and validates product designs. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Prepare, setup, and execute a variety of dynamic tests on items ranging from small integrated electronics to large structures.
  • Operate, program, and maintain state-of-the-art ED shaker tables.
  • Assist in or perform modal surveys to identify natural frequencies, mode shapes, and damping characteristics of structures and systems.
  • Utilize Vibration Research (VR) software to configure tests, acquire accurate data, and support basic data review.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of hands-on professional experience in environmental or dynamic testing.
  • Hands-on expertise operating and programming ED shaker tables for vibration and shock testing.
  • Proficiency with data acquisition (DAQ) systems and test control software; familiarity with VR software or similar dynamic testing platforms.
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of accelerometers and modal hammers.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, flexible team environment.
  • Eligible to obtain / maintain a U.S. Security Clearance


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with DAQ system setup and collection
  • Familiarity with industry-standard environmental qualification specifications (e.g., MIL-STD-810, TRCA DO-160, SMC-S-016)
  • Demonstrated sense of drive and ability to work in cross-functional teams effectively

$41.35$54.80 USD
