About the role
We are seeking applicants in Microsoft Research New England (Cambridge, MA) for full-time Senior Researcher positions in Artifical Intelligence(AI), Machine Learning (ML), and related areas. We welcome applicants who (i) are close to graduation, (ii) recently graduated from a relevant PhD program, (iii) are completing a postdoctoral position, or (iv) have comparable research experience.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Researcher in Microsoft Research, you will define your own research agenda, driving forward an effective program of basic, fundamental, and applied research. We highly value collaboration and building new ideas with members of the group and others. You have the direct opportunity to realize your ideas in products and services used worldwide.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Doctorate (or currently pursuing) in machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistics, or a related field
- or equivalent experience
- Research ability demonstrated by conference publications, journal publications, or preprints.

Research Sciences IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
