Job Description:
Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, guaranteeing compliance with Mexican labor, tax, and social security regulations, adhering to internal policies, financial and governance controls.
What are we looking for?
- 2–4 years of payroll processing experience in Mexico.
- Experience handling payroll for 300 employees.
- Experience with payroll systems (SAP, Workday, Workforce).
- Mexican Federal Labor Law (LFT)
- Social Security Law (IMSS)
- Mexican Income Tax Law (ISR)
- CFDI 4.0 Payroll
- Intermediate Excel
- Intermediate english
What will be your key responsibilities?
Payroll Processing
- Execute weekly and bi-weekly payroll calculations.
- Execute special payroll calculations (Christmas bonus, vacation premium, profit sharing, etc)
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll incidences processing
- Validate payroll inputs: hires, terminations, salary changes, leaves, vacations, bonuses, commissions, and overtime.
- Calculate severance and termination settlements in accordance with Mexican Labor Law (LFT).
Legal & Tax Compliance
- Calculate and validate income tax (ISR), social security (IMSS), INFONAVIT, and ISN
- Generate and stamp digital payroll receipts (CFDI 4.0 – Payroll).
- Support internal and external audits.
Accounting & Reconciliations
- Perform payroll-related account reconciliations.
- Validate accruals (Christmas bonus, vacation premium, profit sharing – PTU).
Employee Support
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payments, deductions, and payslips.
- Manage clarification processes with IMSS, INFONAVIT, or SAT when required.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify process improvement opportunities and strengthen internal controls.
- Participate in payroll system implementations or upgrades.
- Communication with stakeholders
