The Viral Vector Services (VVS) business, part of Thermo Fisher’s Pharma Services Group, is an experienced viral vector CDMO supporting gene therapies, and is focused on process and analytical development, and clinical and commercial supply. Our highly skilled team has managed over 100 client projects delivering first-in-human clinical materials to accelerate our client’s products from the laboratory to patients in need.
Position Summary: Provide financial and business support for the Plainville site within the Viral Vector Services business unit. This position works closely with operating management to develop and execute strategies to drive profitable growth and improve quality and service levels for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the General Manager & leadership team to set and deliver the business plan and meet key operating & financials goals
- Manage the Annual Operating Plan process, Quarterly & Monthly Business Reviews and weekly forecasts in collaboration with the leadership team, site GM, and Finance managers.
- Ensure the site meets the monthly corporate reporting deadlines and comply with all accounting standards and US GAAP.
- Develop performance reporting tools and metrics plus analysis and recommendations to operating management to optimize business results.
- Prepare and present analysis and authorization for significant capital investments.
- Partner with commercial colleagues to develop and model customer deals. Drive and ensure contract compliance.
- Manage and drive components of cash flow including capital, inventory, and accounts receivables.
- Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in a complex, multinational, multi-site environment
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
- Strong and persuasive communicator: essential to have credibility within a dynamic, challenging environment and in the context of providing outstanding business partnering support
- Desire to formulate and drive process improvements, challenging the status quo
- Demonstrated focus on being able to translate data and metrics into predictable, value-add business insight
- Strong results orientation, bias for action
- Experience with ERP systems (i.e. SAP)
- Advanced Hyperion or Oracle/Essbase skills
- Advanced Excel skills
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or relevant analytical background
- CPA, Chartered Accountant, MBA or equivalent a plus
- 8+ years of progressive relevant work experience within a global organization

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $130,000.00–$194,950.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
