About the role
Nasdaq Financial Technology provides mission-critical capital markets and regulatory technology solutions to the financial services industry. We help 3,500+ banks, brokers, regulators, financial infrastructure operators and buy-side firms solve their toughest operational challenges, and we work with the industry to modernise how it operates.
Join Nasdaq FinTech's APAC revenue organisation as a Business Development Representative, reporting to the APAC Head of Business Development. You'll build qualified pipeline across leading financial institutions for our capital markets, treasury, risk, regulatory reporting and surveillance solutions.
You'll start by focusing on ASEAN markets, with scope to expand your coverage across APAC as the role grows. You'll engage stakeholders at banks, brokers, exchanges and market infrastructure providers, each shaped by its own regulatory agenda and buying dynamics. You'll thrive here if you're commercially curious, disciplined and keen to build a career in financial technology sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Own monthly targets for qualified meetings and pipeline across ASEAN and priority APAC campaigns, contributing directly to regional growth objectives.
- Develop and execute account-based prospecting strategies: map target accounts and buying committees, and identify key stakeholders and the business and regulatory initiatives behind them.
- Generate qualified opportunities through outbound prospecting (phone, email, LinkedIn, video), inbound lead qualification, event follow-up, and collaboration with Marketing and Partner teams.
- Partner with Account Executives, Marketing and Solution Directors to execute coordinated account plans, hold discovery conversations and book qualified meetings.
- Use Salesforce, sales intelligence and AI-assisted tools to prioritise accounts, research prospects, personalise outreach and keep pipeline data accurate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 months' experience in business development, sales development, inside sales or a client-facing commercial role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and comfortable reaching out to senior stakeholders.
- Curious, organised and resilient, with a results-driven mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial technology, capital markets, treasury, risk management, or enterprise SaaS.
- Familiarity with account-based marketing or selling strategies and sales intelligence platforms.
- Experience using automation or AI-assisted tools to improve research and prospect engagement.
How Success Is Measured
You'll own monthly targets for qualified meetings and pipeline, and we measure quality as well as volume.
What We'll Provide
- Structured onboarding and training in Nasdaq FinTech solutions and APAC market dynamics.
- Coaching from the APAC Head of Business Development and close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Partners and Solution Directors.
- A modern sales stack, including Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, and Microsoft Copilot.
- A clear development path within the APAC revenue organisation.
This position is based in Singapore, covering ASEAN markets, and offers a hybrid work environment with at least 3 days a week in the office (subject to change).
